About Famello
A private family space for habits, journals, and everyday life.
What Famello is
Famello is a private family productivity app. It brings together the small things that keep a household running — habit tracking, journaling, chores and to-do lists, and a shared family space — in one calm place, instead of scattering them across five different apps and a group chat nobody reads.
It is built for ordinary families: parents trying to get the bins out without asking four times, kids building a reading streak, households that want a shared calendar of responsibilities without a corporate project-management tool.
Why it exists
Most family apps fall into one of two traps. Either they are single-purpose — a chore app here, a habit app there — so the family ends up juggling several. Or they are free because you are the product: ads aimed at your children, and behavioural data quietly sold on.
Famello was built to avoid both. One app for the daily stuff, and a business model that does not depend on harvesting your family's private life.
How we make money
We would rather be direct about this than leave you guessing.
- Premium subscriptions. Famello is free to use for a family of up to four. Premium is $4/month and unlocks unlimited families, full history, notebooks, and the rewards system. This is our main source of revenue.
- The blog. Our public blog carries display advertising and, in some articles, Amazon affiliate links. If you buy something through one of those links we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Recommendations are made on merit; we do not accept payment for placement.
- Never your data. We do not sell personal data, and the app itself carries no advertising. Your journals, habits and tasks are yours.
Who builds it
Famello is an independent product, designed and developed by a small team led by Faiz Ahmed. It is not backed by a large company, which is precisely why the privacy commitments above are practical rather than aspirational — there is no investor pressure to monetise your family's data.
Our editorial approach
The Famello blog publishes practical guides on family routines, chores, habits, and parenting logistics. We aim for honesty over hype: our comparison articles say plainly where Famello falls short against competitors, because a review that concludes "our product is best" is not a review.
Privacy in one line
No ads in the app. No selling your data. No using your family's content to target advertising. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
